Share Split for U.S. Global Investors' Eastern European Fund

U.S. Global Investors, Inc. (Nasdaq: GROW), a boutique registered investment adviser specializing in emerging markets and natural resources, announces today that it will institute a 3-for-1 share split for the Eastern European Fund (EUROX) effective after the market closes on May 23, 2008.

The share split is intended to reduce daily volatility as measured by one-cent moves in the net asset value (NAV) per share of the Eastern European Fund, which is one of the top 15 performers among all U.S. mutual funds for the latest five-year and 10-year periods, according to results published in the Wall Street Journal.

When the Eastern European Fund share split is effected, the share price will decrease to one-third of its price as calculated after the market closes on May 23, 2008. At the same time, each fund shareholder of record will receive two additional EUROX shares for each share owned at the time of the split.

The split will not affect the overall value of any shareholders account and it will not constitute a taxable event for shareholders.

Past performance is no guarantee of future results. Results reflect the reinvestment of dividends and other earnings. Current performance may be higher or lower than the performance data quoted. The principal value and investment return of an investment will fluctuate so that your shares, when redeemed, may be worth more or less than their original cost. Performance does not include the effect of any direct fees described in the funds prospectus (e.g., short-term trading fees of 2.00%) which, if applicable, would lower your total returns. High double-digit returns are attributable, in part, to unusually favorable market conditions and may not be repeated or consistently achieved in the future.
