Taylor White opens her new exhibit in Raleigh, NC showcasing pieces that highlight the highs and lows of the pandemic year.
(RALEIGH – May 18, 2021) – American figurative artist Taylor White will be opening her new exhibit in the heart of Raleigh, NC, on June 11, 2021, and it will run through August 28.
The exhibit will be open at 19 W Hargett St, Raleigh, NC. This showcase is the official breakout for Taylor White as a fine artist. She is known throughout the community as a muralist, and her “Pursuit of Happiness” collection focuses on her fine art talent. People will not only have the opportunity to see her work but will have the chance to purchase it as well. Opening night starts with a VIP session from 5 PM – 7 PM and a general viewing at 7 PM.
“Pursuit of Happiness is a collection of paintings incubated over the last year, a period in which foundations were shaken, plans were upended, and emotions were at an all-time high.” The work responds to the events of 2020 and explores what it means to be a human being in a shifting context,” said White. She continued with, “The world in which we now live is tech-centered, nature-detached, and disconnected from ourselves, our source, and each other. My work approaches these problems with irreverence and keeps it playful; I believe that we as a species are on a journey toward finding out who we truly are.”
What makes this exhibit even more unique and special that it is entirely self-funded and self-initiated by White. From the space to every piece inside the exhibition, every dollar came from White’s pocket. The work you will find here is unlike anything available in the region and is at the quality of any nationally recognized artist. White creates pieces that are bold in color, and they easily attract attention. Her mission through her work is to cleanse, bring joy and curiosity, and peace of mind.
About Taylor White
Taylor White is an American figurative artist whose work engages with the fundamental elements of being. Combining refined techniques of classical training with bright, unexpected color choices born from the residue of street art and pop culture, White’s work explores the way in which we experience the formless chaos of potential through being, and how the order we inhabit can sometimes dissolve backward into the incredible complexity from which it emerged.
