Cognex Corporation Announces Delay in Filing Form 10-Q for Q2 of 2007

Cognex Corporation (NASDAQ: CGNX) today announced that it will delay the filing of its Form 10-Q for the second quarter ended July 1, 2007 and has filed a Form 12b-25 with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that provides the company with five additional calendar days (until August 15, 2007) within which to file its Form 10-Q for the second quarter. The delay is necessary due to the companys voluntary review of irregularities that it discovered in certain transactions originating at its Japanese subsidiary, which was announced on July 25, 2007. Cognex intends to file its Form 10-Q as soon as practicable after the review is completed, but is unable to predict the exact date of filing at this time.
